Volunteer Opportunities

Trinity Hospice relies on a caring and compassionate group of people - Our Volunteers.

Volunteers are the Heart of our Program

Volunteers are needed to assist with patient care, companion services, patient-related support, professional services, and public education. Whatever your talents, interests or skills, hospice has a need you can fill. Some areas in which volunteers can become a vital part of the hospice team are:

Hospice Volunteers

  • Assist with special events
  • Make speeches about Hospice
  • Assist with crafts for patient
  • Cook and bake for patient

Patient/Family Care Volunteers

  • Offer support and encouragement
  • Help with household errands
  • Listen sympathetically to memories or feelings
  • Write notes for and read to patients

Bereavement Program Volunteers

  • Call hospice family members
  • Write bereavement notes
  • Assist with support programs
  • Help with memorial services

Hospice volunteers find a great deal of satisfaction in helping others and making an important difference in the lives of the patients and families they meet through hospice.
